Schneider Electric has been appointed the Official Energy Technology Partner of McLaren Racing.
The agreement covers multiple teams across McLaren’s racing portfolio including the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team the Arrow McLaren IndyCar Team the McLaren F1 Academy and the McLaren United Autosports WEC Hypercar Team. The collaboration builds on a supplier relationship spanning more than 20 years.
Under the partnership Schneider Electric and McLaren Racing will work together to develop and deploy energy technologies that support performance in demanding environments. This includes delivering resilient power solutions at race circuits worldwide and across operations at the McLaren Technology Centre in Woking.
The focus areas include optimizing energy use across wind tunnels manufacturing facilities and IT data centers enabling electrification through advanced energy technologies and using digital twin solutions to generate data insights. These efforts aim to improve efficiency reliability and sustainability while supporting high performance racing operations.
