Nikon Corporation has invested in Trener Robotics through the NFocus Fund to support advanced industrial automation.

Trener Robotics offers Acteris, a physical AI powered platform that enables natural language programming for industrial robots. The system allows operators to provide written instructions, which are translated into robot actions without traditional code based programming. The platform is designed to automate complex and variable workflows in real production environments.

Nikon plans to combine Trener Robotics’ AI technologies with its own robot vision systems to address manufacturing challenges such as labor shortages and unmanned operations. The collaboration aims to improve automation efficiency, flexibility and real time situational recognition in industrial settings.

The investment supports Nikon’s strategy to expand its robotics and vision systems business as part of next generation manufacturing solutions.
