Zoe Atkin marked her performance at Milano Cortina 2026 with a podium selfie taken on the Samsung Galaxy Z Flip7 Olympic Edition, highlighting the growing role of smartphones in how athletes share their experiences in real time.

Fresh from delivering a medal-winning run, Atkin used the device to capture and share the moment shortly after stepping onto the podium. The image reflected not only the result but also the preparation behind it, including months of structured training, recovery planning and mental conditioning.

As a Team Samsung Galaxy athlete, Atkin is part of a group of Olympians who document their journeys during competition. Throughout the Games, she used the device to stay connected with family, teammates and supporters, sharing updates before and after events.

In recent interviews, Atkin described the mental focus required during competition. She said that during a run, she aims to remain fully present, concentrating on physical sensation and movement. Off the slopes, she maintains a structured routine that includes nine to ten hours of rest ahead of training days and meditation practices to manage stress.

Atkin has also spoken about tracking recovery, rest and stress metrics to support performance readiness. According to her comments, maintaining balance between physical preparation and mental focus plays a central role in competition outcomes.

Annika Bizon, Vice President of Product and Marketing, Mobile Experience at Samsung Electronics UK & Ireland, said the Olympic and Paralympic Games represent both the visible achievements and the preparation behind them. She noted that athletes increasingly use mobile technology to share not only results but also the broader journey with audiences.

The use of limited-edition Olympic devices forms part of Samsung’s ongoing association with the Games, as athletes continue to integrate connected technology into both training and competition environments.
