Apple has launched the new iPad Air powered by the M4 chip, delivering higher performance, more memory and improved connectivity at the same starting price.
Performance and AI
The M4 chip features an 8 core CPU and 9 core GPU, making the new iPad Air up to 30 percent faster than M3 and up to 2.3x faster than M1 models. Unified memory increases to 12GB with 120GB/s bandwidth. The 16 core Neural Engine improves AI tasks such as transcription, photo search and video editing.
Connectivity
iPad Air includes Apple’s N1 wireless chip with Wi Fi 7, Bluetooth 6 and Thread support. Cellular models feature the C1X modem with up to 50 percent faster data speeds and improved energy efficiency. It also supports 5G and eSIM.
Sizes and Software
Available in 11 inch and 13 inch sizes, iPad Air runs iPadOS 26 with new windowing features, updated Files app and Preview app. It supports Apple Intelligence capabilities.
Accessories
It works with Apple Pencil Pro, Apple Pencil USB C and Magic Keyboard.
Sustainability
The device uses 30 percent recycled content including recycled aluminum and cobalt, with 100 percent fiber based packaging.
Pricing and Availability
The 11 inch model starts at INR 64900 and the 13 inch at INR 84900. Education pricing starts at INR 59900 and INR 79900. Pre orders begin March 4 with availability from March 11.
