OPPO announced new engineering innovations for its upcoming Find N6 foldable smartphone, introducing what it calls a Zero-Feel Crease designed to reduce visible screen folding marks.
The improvement is built on a redesigned hinge system called the 2nd Generation Titanium Flexion Hinge. The hinge uses a 3D liquid printing process that fills microscopic surface gaps to create a flatter internal structure. This process reduces hinge surface variation from about 0.2 mm to 0.05 mm.
The hinge design also uses a wider waterdrop structure and a Clover Balance Pivot to reduce stress on the display while folding. A carbon fiber support plate further improves strength and stability.
The device also introduces Auto-Smoothing Flex Glass which is thicker than standard ultra thin glass and designed to maintain display flatness over time. According to TÜV Rheinland testing the system reduces long term crease depth by up to 82% compared with the previous model.
The Find N6 has also passed durability testing of up to one million fold cycles and includes enhanced protection features such as titanium hinge components, aerospace grade aluminum frame and water resistance certifications.
