Vaibhav Gawde has been promoted to Head of Customer Engineering for APAC Data Management and Database Cloud at Google Cloud. In this role, he will lead teams that help enterprises across Asia modernize their data infrastructure and adopt advanced cloud based data management and database technologies.
Based in the APAC region, Gawde will focus on enabling scalable data architectures, supporting digital transformation initiatives and helping organizations implement cloud driven data platforms.
Before joining Google Cloud in this role, Gawde built extensive experience across several global technology companies. At Oracle he served as Head of India Sales Consulting and IT Architect, working on enterprise cloud and data platform solutions.
Earlier in his career he held roles at Sun Microsystems, Hitachi Data Systems Americas, Network Appliance, Symantec and CSX Technology. Across these positions he worked on presales strategy, enterprise architecture and software engineering, gaining deep expertise in enterprise infrastructure, cloud platforms and data ecosystems.
