Company Advances Renewable Energy Use and 2040 Carbon Neutrality Goal
LG Innotek has received a “Leadership A” rating in the 2025 Climate Change assessment by the Carbon Disclosure Project for the third year in a row. The rating is given to the top 3% of 22,100 companies assessed globally, with 766 companies achieving this level.
The company was also selected for the “Carbon Management Sector Honors” at the 2026 CDP Korea Conference, marking its seventh consecutive year of recognition in climate response performance.
LG Innotek has focused on its 2040 carbon neutrality goal, announced in 2022, by expanding renewable energy use, improving energy efficiency and upgrading manufacturing processes. Over the past year, the company transitioned more than 60 percent of its electricity usage across global operations to renewable sources, equivalent to 650 GWh.
To support this shift, LG Innotek has used power purchase agreements, expanded grid-based renewable energy supply and installed rooftop solar systems across its sites. The company also participates in Green Premium programs to secure stable renewable energy access.
