ASUS ROG Strix Laptops Bring Intel Core Ultra 9 Power and Advanced Gaming Features
ASUS Republic of Gamers has launched the 2026 ROG Strix G16 and G18 gaming laptops, powered by Intel Core Ultra 9 290HX Plus processors and up to NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5080 Laptop GPUs.
The new models are designed for gaming and content creation, offering improved processing power, AI capabilities and graphics performance. The Strix G16 features a 2.5K 300Hz display, while the larger G18 includes a 2.5K 240Hz Nebula HDR display with Mini LED technology for better brightness and contrast.
Both laptops use updated cooling systems with tri-fan technology, vapor chamber design and improved heat management to support sustained performance. The redesigned chassis allows tool-less access, making it easier to upgrade components like SSD and RAM.
The lineup also includes enhanced RGB lighting and design customization features. ASUS has confirmed that the flagship ROG Strix SCAR 18 will launch in Q2 2026, with support for higher GPU configurations.
The new Strix series focuses on combining performance, display quality and upgrade flexibility for users.
