Siemens Expands U.S. Manufacturing to Support AI Infrastructure Growth

Siemens is investing $165 million to expand its manufacturing capacity in the United States, focusing on electrical infrastructure needed for AI and data centers.

The expansion will strengthen operations across North and South Carolina and create more than 350 jobs. It builds on nearly $700 million already invested by Siemens in U.S. manufacturing, including facilities in California and Texas.

The investment will increase production of key technologies such as power distribution systems, switchgear, automation systems and busway solutions. These systems support energy management and reliability in large-scale data centers.

Siemens is also focusing on prefabricated electrical solutions to reduce installation time and speed up deployment of AI infrastructure.

Alongside manufacturing, the company is investing in workforce development through initiatives like Careers Electric, aimed at expanding access to technical training.
