Anand YV Takes on Senior Director Role to Strengthen Data Management at AstraZeneca
Anand YV has been elevated to Senior Director – Head of Data Management at AstraZeneca, effective March 2026.
Based in Chennai, he will lead the company’s global data strategy and governance. His role focuses on advancing data management practices, ensuring high-quality data for research and commercial teams, and strengthening the enterprise data ecosystem.
Anand brings over 25 years of experience in data architecture and engineering across pharmaceutical and technology sectors. He has spent nearly 12 years at AstraZeneca, progressing from Senior System Engineer to this leadership position.
Before AstraZeneca, he worked with organizations such as MedImmune and Arwano Inc, contributing to projects for global enterprises including OppenheimerFunds, Warner Bros. Discovery and Nationwide.
He began his career in Java development at ELNet-3L and GE, building a strong technical foundation. His expertise spans Snowflake and AWS ecosystems along with data platform governance.
