Servotech and Electra EV Advance EV Charging with Low-Voltage Innovation

Servotech Renewable Power System Ltd. and Electra EV have secured a joint patent for a low-voltage electric vehicle charging device from the Indian Patent Office.

The patented solution is designed to address a key gap in India’s EV ecosystem by enabling efficient charging for low-voltage electric vehicles. It supports fast DC charging for sub-200V platforms, including vehicles based on GB/T Bharat DC 001 standards, using existing high-voltage CCS2 charging infrastructure.

This approach helps solve interoperability challenges across charging systems, allowing broader compatibility between different EV segments and charging networks. The device integrates advanced power management and voltage conversion technologies to ensure stable and safe energy transfer.

With the growing adoption of low-voltage EVs in segments like small commercial vehicles and last-mile delivery, the need for flexible charging infrastructure has increased. The solution is expected to support wider EV adoption by improving charging reliability and accessibility across use cases.
