Search Live Expands to More Indian Languages with Gemini AI
Google has expanded its Search Live feature to support more Indian languages, building on its AI-powered search capabilities through Gemini models.
Search Live, introduced in India last year in English and Hindi, enables users to interact with search in real time using voice and camera. With this latest update, the feature is now available in additional Indian languages including Bengali, Gujarati, Kannada, Malayalam, Marathi, Odia, Tamil, Telugu and Urdu.
The expansion is powered by Gemini 3.1 Flash Live, a new audio and voice model designed to deliver more natural and conversational interactions. The model is multilingual by design, allowing users to communicate with search in their preferred language.
Search Live is also being rolled out globally across all regions where AI Mode is available, making interactive and voice-driven search more accessible to a wider audience.
