Mobile Camera Integration Brings New Angles to Skateboarding Coverage

Samsung Electronics has demonstrated the use of its Galaxy S26 Ultra in live sports broadcasting during a Street League Skateboarding event in Los Angeles.

The device was embedded directly into skateboarding course elements to capture point-of-view footage, offering angles not typically accessible with traditional broadcast cameras. The footage was integrated into live production workflows, enabling near real-time replay and enhanced viewer experience.

This builds on earlier use of Galaxy devices in major events, including the Olympic Winter Games Milano Cortina 2026, where mobile cameras were used alongside traditional broadcast systems.

The Galaxy S26 Ultra features advanced stabilization, intelligent image processing, and capabilities such as slow-motion capture, supporting high-quality video in fast-moving environments. These features allow it to operate effectively in dynamic sports settings.
