Sergio Buniac to lead Lenovo’s Latin America business across devices and infrastructure as part of leadership transition
Lenovo has appointed Sergio Buniac as President, Latin America, effective July 1, 2026. In this role he will lead the company’s sales geography across devices and infrastructure, strengthening go to market execution, customer engagement and regional competitiveness.
As part of the transition, Sergio will move from his current role as SVP and Motorola President. His responsibilities will be transitioned to Luca Rossi, President of Lenovo Intelligent Devices, who will serve in an interim capacity until a successor is appointed. The move aligns with Lenovo’s long term leadership succession plan and focus on global growth.
Sergio brings over 30 years of experience within Lenovo across sales, marketing and supply chain roles in Latin America along with eight years leading the global smartphone business. He has maintained strong regional connections and deep market understanding, positioning him to drive growth and strategic alignment across the region.
Under his leadership at Motorola, the business achieved profitability turnaround, improved product development efficiency and strengthened its premium portfolio. His experience in scaling operations and driving innovation supports Lenovo’s continued focus on Hybrid AI and ecosystem growth.
