Gemini Personal Intelligence India Brings Connected App Experience

Google has introduced Personal Intelligence in the Gemini app for users in India, expanding its personalised AI capabilities.

The feature connects data from apps like Gmail, Google Photos, YouTube and Search to provide context-aware responses. Users can choose which apps to link, and the feature remains optional and controlled through settings.

Personal Intelligence enables Gemini to combine information across sources, helping users retrieve details and generate responses based on their personal data. For example, it can organise travel plans by pulling details from emails, photos, and browsing activity.

Google has built the feature with a focus on privacy. Data access is user-controlled, and personal content is not directly used to train AI models. Users can also disable the feature, adjust settings, or use non-personalised chats.

The rollout is available to select paid users initially, with plans to expand access to more users in the coming weeks.
