LG 2026 TVs Eco Certifications Highlight Carbon Reduction and Resource Efficiency
LG Electronics announced that its 2026 TV lineup has received multiple eco certifications from global organizations, reflecting efforts across the product lifecycle.
LG OLED TVs received Reducing CO2 and Measured CO2 certifications from Carbon Trust for the sixth consecutive year. These certifications assess emissions across production, use and end of life. Certain G6 models earned Reducing CO2 certification, while others received Measured CO2 depending on region.
The lineup also received Resource Efficiency certification from Intertek across eight series, based on material use, energy efficiency and recycled content.
Additionally, LG TVs were recognized by E-Cycle Governance for recyclable design and reduced hazardous materials.
LG expects its OLED TVs to reduce plastic use by about 15,000 tons and CO2 emissions by around 80,000 tons in 2026 compared to LCD TVs. The company has also recycled about 20,000 tons of plastic over the past three years and plans to expand recycled material use further.
