GlobalLogic, a Hitachi Group company, has announced a long-term engineering partnership with Asensus Surgical, part of KARL STORZ. The collaboration aims to advance Asensus’s next-generation robotic surgery system, LUNA, and strengthen its intelligent surgical technology portfolio. GlobalLogic will provide expertise in product development, software engineering, robotics integration, and automated testing.
As part of this partnership, GlobalLogic will set up a new development lab in Kraków, Poland, focused on Verification and Validation for medical devices. The lab will use advanced test automation and replicate Asensus’s engineering setup to support faster and more reliable product testing. The collaboration also introduces GlobalLogic’s DeviceSure accelerator, which helps ensure speed, precision, and regulatory compliance during device validation.
Through the integration of AI, computer vision, and data analytics, both companies aim to improve surgical precision and efficiency in robotic-assisted operations. The partnership combines Asensus Surgical’s medical expertise with GlobalLogic’s global engineering scale to support innovation in intelligent, connected healthcare.
