Xiaomi has confirmed the launch date of the Xiaomi Pad 8 tablet in India and global markets. The device is set to debut on February 28 alongside the Xiaomi 17 lineup at the company’s launch event in Barcelona, scheduled to begin at 2pm local time (6:30pm IST).

A dedicated landing page on Xiaomi’s website confirms that the upcoming tablet will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset. The company has also revealed that the device will pack a 9,200mAh battery. Xiaomi claims the Pad 8 will be its slimmest tablet to date.

The tablet is expected to run on Android 16 with Xiaomi’s HyperOS 3 skin. It will support the Xiaomi Focus Keyboard accessory, which features adaptive backlit keys and a gesture-enabled touchpad. The device is also confirmed to be compatible with the Focus Pen Pro stylus, which supports gesture controls.

In China, the Xiaomi Pad 8 launched with up to 12GB of RAM and 256GB of onboard storage. The Chinese variant features an 11.2-inch 3.2K LCD display with a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, a 50-megapixel rear camera, and a 32-megapixel front camera. If the global model mirrors these specifications, it may also support 67W fast charging and measure 5.75mm in thickness.

Additional details about pricing and availability in India are expected to be announced at the launch event.
