Samsung Electronics has recently introduced its latest foldable smartphones the Galaxy Z Fold7 and Z Flip7. These are the company’s thinnest and lightest foldables yet, continuing its goal of offering large screens in compact designs since launching its first foldable in 2019.

The Galaxy Z Flip7 is just 6.5 mm thick when open and 13.7 mm when closed. Samsung used a high-density circuit board and improved the battery’s energy density to increase capacity without adding bulk. It also has a new cover display that stretches edge to edge, with slimmer bezels and a corner-mounted camera for a cleaner look.

The Galaxy Z Fold7 is almost half as thick as the original Fold. It features a brighter screen with a 21:9 aspect ratio. Its new hinge is 27% thinner and 43% lighter, with stronger materials for better folding durability. The display is also tougher, using a titanium-based structure and thicker ultra-thin glass.

Both models feature redesigned cameras. The Fold7 includes a 200 MP wide-angle lens in a thinner module, while the Flip7’s camera system has been reworked to stay compact without losing performance. Stronger glass and a more durable frame make both phones tougher despite their slim designs.
