Samsung Electronics has introduced the Micro RGB, a 115-inch display featuring a micro-scale RGB LED backlight. Built on Samsung’s proprietary Micro RGB Technology, the system arranges individual red, green and blue LEDs less than 100µm in size behind the panel for precise color and contrast control.

Powered by the Micro RGB AI engine, the display uses AI processing to optimize picture and sound in real time. It includes the Micro RGB Color Booster Pro, which enhances muted tones and Micro RGB Precision Color, delivering 100% BT.2020 color coverage. The product has received certification from Germany’s Verband der Elektrotechnik for its color accuracy.

The display also features Glare Free technology, a slim metal design, and Samsung Vision AI for integrated AI picture, sound and voice assistant functions. Security is supported by Samsung Knox, with seven years of free Tizen OS updates promised.

Following its debut in Korea, Samsung plans to launch the Micro RGB in the U.S., with a global rollout to follow and additional sizes in development.
