Apple has released a major update to Apple Intelligence, bringing new AI-powered capabilities across iPhone, iPad, Mac, Apple Watch, and Apple Vision Pro with iOS 26, iPadOS 26, macOS Tahoe 26, watchOS 26, and visionOS 26.
Key highlights include Live Translation, enabling real-time translations across Messages, FaceTime, Phone, and even in-person conversations via AirPods Pro 3. Users can type, hear, or view live translated captions in multiple languages, with additional support coming later this year.
Visual Intelligence lets users interact with on-screen content by searching, summarizing, or taking actions like adding events from flyers directly to their calendar. It also integrates with apps and ChatGPT for deeper insights.
Creative tools have been upgraded with Genmoji and Image Playground, allowing personalized emojis and AI-generated images. Workout Buddy delivers personalized, spoken fitness motivation based on users’ workout data, while Shortcuts now leverage Apple Intelligence for smarter automations.
Developers can tap into Apple’s on-device language model to create new intelligent, privacy-protected app experiences. Additional updates enhance Reminders, Wallet, and Messages with AI-driven suggestions and personalization.
