Lenovo has earned an AA+ rating on the 2025 Hang Seng Corporate Sustainability Index, the second-highest rating, achieving the top score in environmental and social areas within its industry. The index, managed by the Hong Kong Quality Assurance Agency evaluates companies across seven ESG subjects: Corporate Governance, Human Rights, Labor Practices, Environment, Fair Operating Practices, Consumer Issues, and Community Involvement. Its framework is updated annually to reflect international and local ESG developments and industry-specific materiality.
This recognition highlights Lenovo’s long-term commitment to a smarter, more sustainable future. The company is working toward net-zero emissions by 2050, validated by the Science Based Targets initiative, and is driving the circular economy by integrating recycled materials over 12 million kilograms of recycled plastics in 2024 and improving device repairability. On the social side, Lenovo champions inclusion and diversity, recognized by Human Rights Campaign, Workplace Pride, and Disability:IN, and has invested nearly US$100 million since 2020 to expand access to technology and STEM education globally.
