Mitsubishi Electric shared an update on its ongoing work with Siemens Energy as both companies explore next generation grid technologies. As energy systems shift toward higher renewable integration and faster modernization there is a growing need for solutions that support reliability and long term stability.
During a recent meeting the teams discussed technical collaboration across several areas. Key focus points included HVDC system solutions such as DC switching stations which help improve grid resilience along with SF6 free switchgear that offers an alternative for reducing environmental impact. These technologies are becoming important as utilities prepare for increased load variability and evolving infrastructure needs.
Both companies noted that joint discussions can help address emerging challenges in power transmission while each continues to independently manufacture supply and service their own solutions.
