HCLTech has signed an agreement to acquire the Telco Solutions business from Hewlett Packard Enterprise, strengthening its engineering and AI led capabilities for global communication service providers. The acquisition builds on a previous transaction completed in 2024 involving assets from HPE’s Communications Technology Group.
Through this agreement, HCLTech will gain access to established intellectual property, product engineering expertise, R&D talent, and long standing client relationships across the telecom sector. The Telco Solutions business supports more than one billion devices across over two hundred deployments worldwide. Its portfolio includes Operations Support Systems, Home Subscriber Server, and 5G Subscriber Data Management, with AI driven closed loop automation designed to support network operations and monetization.
The assets acquired earlier from HPE’s CTG portfolio, including business support systems, network applications, service cloudification, and data intelligence, have already been integrated into HCLTech’s offerings. The new acquisition further expands this foundation.
As part of the transaction, nearly fifteen hundred engineering and telecom professionals from thirty nine countries are expected to join HCLTech. The company plans to use the expanded capabilities to support network transformation initiatives, Network as a Service models, and AI enabled autonomous networking for telecom operators.
