Vikram Solar Limited has announced a strategic transition to a fully G12R based solar module portfolio. The move strengthens the company’s focus on next generation high efficiency photovoltaic technology and aligns with evolving global solar standards.
The global solar industry is shifting toward larger wafer formats, N type cell architectures and bifacial designs to improve energy output and project economics. Vikram Solar’s transition reflects market demand for performance reliability, long term durability and future ready technology. The company has consolidated its product offerings around the HYPERSOL G12R module series, marking a shift from individual product innovation to portfolio wide standardisation.
This transition is supported by Vikram Solar’s expanded manufacturing capacity of 9.5 GW across facilities in West Bengal and Tamil Nadu. The scale allows consistent quality and volume delivery while standardising on a single advanced technology platform.
The HYPERSOL G12R portfolio includes the 132 half cell and PRO variants with power output up to 640 Wp and efficiency up to 23.69 percent. The rectangular large format design improves container utilisation to 98.5 percent which helps reduce logistics costs. The modules are also available in 96 and 108 half cell formats for rooftop applications and comply with IEC, UL and BIS standards for deployment across global markets.
