The solar lanterns were provided to residents in the nearby villages of Jahangirpur, Shura and Kaloi. The effort aims to improve access to clean and dependable lighting while supporting sustainable development in rural areas. The formal launch took place at the Senior Secondary School in Jahangirpur and was attended by local leaders, students and representatives from Panasonic Life Solutions India.

Light Up the Future is Panasonic’s global CSR initiative focused on delivering sustainable lighting solutions in underserved regions. The programme is implemented with on ground support from Eco Roots Foundation. Along with renewable energy access, the initiative supports broader goals such as education, skill development and community wellbeing.
