Apple announced the launch of a new Education Hub in Bengaluru to expand skill building and training programs for supplier employees across India. The hub will operate in collaboration with Manipal Academy of Higher Education and will begin offering courses from March 2026.
The Education Hub will focus on digital literacy and Swift coding for beginners. Faculty from MAHE will train supplier trainers who will then deliver courses to larger employee groups at supplier facilities. Alongside the hub Apple is expanding development courses at more than 25 supplier sites in India. Starting with Tata Electronics, the curriculum includes digital skills Swift coding robotics automation technology and smart manufacturing.
These efforts are part of Apple’s $50 million Supplier Employee Development Fund. Apple and its partners currently offer over 75 courses for supplier employees in India. The company also plans to expand its robotics training program launched in 2024 to more locations this year.
In addition Apple continues to invest in rights awareness training and vocational education for persons with disabilities through partnerships with suppliers and organizations such as Enable India. These programs aim to improve skills inclusivity and long term career development across Apple’s supply chain.
