Garmin has introduced the Approach J1, its first GPS watch designed specifically for junior golfers. The watch is built to help young players learn the game, build confidence and track performance on the course.

Approach J1 features a slim and lightweight design with a comfortable fit for smaller wrists. It includes a bright 1.2 inch AMOLED touchscreen, a ComfortFit fabric strap and water resistance for play in light rain. Battery life supports up to 15 hours in GPS mode, allowing multiple rounds without recharging.

The watch comes preloaded with more than 43,000 golf courses worldwide and offers learning focused features. These include tee off guidance based on player ability, personal par to set realistic goals, a pace of play timer to support on course awareness and club selection with distance to the green. All features can be adjusted as a player’s skills improve.

Approach J1 is available in cloud blue or lilac finishes and is priced at USD 299.99. The watch is designed to support junior development by encouraging better course management, shot planning and pace awareness from an early stage.
