Gemini Ads Safety 2025 Report Highlights AI-Driven Ad Protection
Google has outlined how its Gemini is improving ad safety by detecting and blocking harmful ads before they reach users.
According to the 2025 Ads Safety Report, Google blocked or removed over 8.3 billion ads and suspended 24.9 million advertiser accounts globally. In India alone, 483.7 million ads were removed and 1.7 million accounts were suspended.
Gemini analyses large volumes of signals such as behaviour patterns and account activity to identify threats. Unlike earlier systems, it focuses on intent detection, helping identify scams even when they attempt to bypass filters.
The AI system also reviews ads in real time, allowing harmful content to be blocked at submission. It has improved response speed to user reports and increased detection accuracy, reducing incorrect advertiser suspensions by 80 percent.
The approach aims to balance removing harmful ads while supporting legitimate businesses, as digital advertising risks continue to evolve.
