Meta CBRE Fiber Technician Training Program Aims to Build Skilled Workforce

Meta has partnered with CBRE to launch the LevelUp Fiber Technician Pathway, a training program aimed at addressing workforce gaps in data center construction.

The initiative offers a free four-week training program designed to equip individuals with technical skills needed for fiber technician roles. It targets people with no prior experience and focuses on building a skilled workforce to support growing demand for data center infrastructure.

Participants will receive hands-on training and may gain opportunities to work on Meta’s construction projects through its contractor network. The program is part of a multi-year effort to support workforce development and expand access to skilled trade careers.

Meta currently operates or is developing multiple data centers across the US, contributing to job creation in both construction and long-term operations.
