Certifications Reflect Emissions Measurement and Reduction Efforts

Samsung Electronics has announced that around 34 models in its 2026 TV and soundbar lineup have received carbon-related certifications from TÜV Rheinland.

The certifications include Product Carbon Footprint and Product Carbon Reduction, which evaluate greenhouse gas emissions across a product’s lifecycle and recognize measurable reductions compared to previous models.

Fourteen models, including OLED TVs, The Frame Pro, and the HW-Q990H soundbar, received the Product Carbon Reduction certification. An additional 20 products, including Micro RGB and Mini LED TVs, were certified for Product Carbon Footprint.

The certifications assess emissions across manufacturing, transportation, usage, and disposal stages. The HW-Q990H soundbar received both certifications, reflecting emission measurement and reduction.
