Sennheiser has supported the re equipping of Notre-Dame de Paris with its Spectera wideband wireless system following the cathedral’s restoration. The new sound system was delivered by integrator Novelty and was selected after detailed testing to meet strict requirements for coverage reliability and visual discretion.

The rebuilt cathedral required stable wireless audio across its full length and width including side chapels while supporting mobile ceremonies where clergy move during services. Spectera enabled this with four antennas instead of eight reducing cabling and system complexity. The system uses Ethernet and fibre connections which suited the historic site and future expansion plans.

Spectera provides reliable RF coverage across daily services public visits and live broadcasts. The compact base station supports up to 32 microphones and 16 stereo IEMs while integrating with the existing audio console via Dante. The installation allows simple scaling for outdoor use concerts and broadcast partners without system restarts.
