Siemens introduced a verified AI driven cybersecurity solution for industrial private 5G networks in collaboration with Palo Alto Networks at Mobile World Congress 2026.
The solution combines Siemens’ Private 5G infrastructure with Palo Alto Networks’ AI optimized Next Generation Firewall. It is designed for operational technology environments and has been tested across multiple industrial deployment scenarios to ensure network resilience and uninterrupted operations.
The architecture integrates three main components. Siemens Private 5G provides on premises wireless connectivity for sensors, machines and mobile assets. The SINEC Security Monitor delivers continuous monitoring to detect anomalies and unauthorized devices during production. Palo Alto Networks’ firewall provides Layer 7 security with deep packet inspection for industrial protocols while maintaining low latency.
The solution meets IEC 62443 security requirements for industrial automation systems and supports defense in depth strategies required by regulations such as NIS2. It is now available as part of the Siemens Xcelerator portfolio.
