Tapan Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of VinFast India

Tapan Kumar Ghosh has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer of VinFast India. He brings over 28 years of experience in the automotive industry, having worked with Hyundai Motor India, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Mahindra & Mahindra (Automotive and Farm Equipment), Honda Cars India, and Hindustan Motors.

At Hyundai Motor India, he served as Vice President and Head of National Sales, where he was responsible for vehicle sales across the country, sales strategy, dealer network management, logistics, and the used car business. Earlier in his career, he managed operations as Zonal Business Head for Western and Eastern India and held senior sales and regional roles at Tata Motors and Maruti Suzuki, building expertise in sales and customer experience.

His appointment comes soon after VinFast launched its VF6 and VF7 electric SUVs in India, and he will now lead the company’s efforts to expand its presence in the Indian EV market.
