Samsung Wallet Adds Digital Key Support for Select Toyota Vehicles

Samsung Electronics has announced that Samsung Wallet now supports Digital Key access for select Toyota vehicles starting January 2026. The feature will first be available for certain 2026 Toyota RAV4 models in the United Kingdom.

With Digital Key support, users with compatible Samsung Galaxy smartphones can lock unlock and start their vehicle using Samsung Wallet. The system uses Ultra Wideband technology for hands free access and Near Field Communication for secure vehicle interaction. This removes the need for a physical key while supporting everyday driving needs.

Samsung Wallet allows users to store and manage Digital Keys securely on their device. Keys are protected by Samsung Knox and meet EAL6+ security standards. Users can also share Digital Keys with trusted contacts and revoke access at any time which supports multi driver households.

If a phone is lost or stolen the Digital Key can be locked or deleted remotely using Samsung Find. Biometric or PIN authentication adds another layer of protection for vehicle access.

The Digital Key rollout for eligible Toyota RAV4 models will begin this month in line with vehicle availability in the UK.
