Philips is hiring an Embedded System Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of embedded hardware and firmware. This role focuses on test planning, execution and process improvement across the full product development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define test methods for embedded firmware and hardware quality
- Create test plans tools and test cases for firmware and hardware verification
- Work with firmware hardware and requirements teams for test coverage
- Support test technicians during test execution
- Develop automated testing processes and tools
- Create production functional test specifications
- Perform root cause analysis to improve product quality
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering
- 6+ years of experience in embedded hardware and firmware testing
- Knowledge of Bluetooth Low Energy RF testing and test equipment
- Experience with lab instruments such as oscilloscopes and spectrum analyzers
- Strong analytical problem solving and communication skills
- Detail oriented approach to testing
Preferred Skills:
- Experience with C C# or scripting for test automation
- RF PHY testing experience for BLE compliance and production
- Experience testing IMU sensors
- Knowledge of regulatory and safety standards such as CE UL and CEC
- Experience with automated test systems
