McLaren Racing and Dell Technologies have extended their relationship, with Dell continuing as Official Innovation Partner to support performance in Formula 1.

The partnership began in 2018 and focuses on using AI infrastructure, data systems and PCs to improve car development, race strategy and team operations. Dell technology supports the McLaren Mastercard Formula 1 Team from factory design and manufacturing to real time decisions at the racetrack.

Using Dell AI Factory including PowerEdge servers, McLaren processes around 1.5 terabytes of data during each race weekend. This helps the team run simulations, build digital twins and adjust strategies based on track conditions and car performance. Dell storage solutions such as PowerStore and PowerScale support large data workloads including Computational Fluid Dynamics modeling.

Dell PCs are used across McLaren’s global workforce for collaboration, simulation and race analysis. Alienware systems also power the McLaren F1 Sim Racing Team.

The collaboration has supported McLaren’s recent results including back to back Formula 1 Constructors’ Championships in 2024 and 2025 and a Drivers’ Championship campaign in 2025.
