Apple is hiring a Test Design Lead to drive hardware test strategy and product calibration for high volume manufacturing. The role focuses on ensuring product quality, developing test solutions and working across hardware software and operations teams.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead product calibration and hardware test strategy
• Balance quality customer experience and manufacturing requirements
• Work with design software and operations teams during product development
• Enable product characterization and test solution development
• Identify risks and develop mitigation strategies
• Support system builds and test line readiness across phases
• Lead factory test bring up and calibration processes
• Drive root cause analysis and design improvements

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Computer Science Mechanical or Physics
• 5+ years of experience in hardware test integration
• Strong understanding of hardware and software system architecture
• Experience with sensing imaging displays or communication protocols like I2C SPI UART USB
• Experience with lab equipment such as oscilloscopes logic analyzers and spectrum analyzers
• Strong problem solving and analytical skills
• Experience with FMEA failure analysis and statistical methods
• Prior experience in technical leadership or project management
• Willingness to travel up to 25 percent

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master’s or PhD in relevant engineering field
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to manage multiple complex projects
