Bosch introduced the FCPM C100 fuel cell power module designed for hydrogen powered city buses at the Mobility Move trade fair in Berlin.

The new system expands Bosch’s fuel cell portfolio which now covers power outputs ranging from 100 to 300 kilowatts. The compact C100 module has a flat design with a height of 40 centimeters and is designed to be mounted on the roof of urban buses that are typically 12 to 18 meters long.

Fuel cell electric buses can operate with zero emissions when powered by renewable hydrogen. These systems are particularly suitable for long distance urban routes where frequent charging may not be possible.

The C100 is based on the larger FCPM C190 module designed for intercity buses and coaches which Bosch plans to test in demonstration vehicles during the first half of 2026. The portfolio also includes the FCPM C300 module designed for heavy trucks and long distance coaches.
