GE Vernova Wind Turbine Germany Orders Support Onshore Expansion and Energy Transition
GE Vernova has secured agreements to supply 71.5 MW of onshore wind turbines to BBWind and Greenvolt Power for projects across Germany. The orders were booked in Q4 2025 and support the country’s onshore wind expansion.
The deal strengthens GE Vernova’s ongoing relationship with BBWind and marks a new collaboration with Greenvolt Power. Both projects will use the company’s established turbine technology to support renewable energy generation.
GE Vernova’s manufacturing operations in Salzbergen, Germany play a key role in these projects. The facility spans 70,000 square meters and produces key turbine components such as machine heads, drive trains and hubs for deployment across Europe and Asia.
Germany installed around 4.6 GW of onshore wind capacity in 2025 and is targeting 80% of electricity generation from renewable sources by 2030. These agreements align with that goal and contribute to expanding wind energy capacity in the region.
