Siemens Eigen Engineering Agent Enables Autonomous Engineering Workflows
Siemens has launched the Eigen Engineering Agent, an AI-powered solution designed to automate industrial engineering tasks.
The tool moves beyond traditional AI systems by executing tasks end-to-end, including PLC coding, HMI design, and device configuration. It uses multi-step reasoning and self-correction to deliver validated outputs aligned with project requirements.
Integrated with Siemens’ TIA Portal, the agent understands full project context such as data structures and system components, enabling accurate and usable results. It also validates outputs before presenting them, reducing errors and manual effort.
The solution is designed to address engineering skill shortages and improve productivity. Siemens states it can complete workflows two to five times faster, with improved solution quality and efficiency.
The Eigen Engineering Agent has been tested with over 100 companies across 19 countries and is now available for wider use. It supports faster onboarding and simplifies complex engineering workflows.
