DJI Launches Mini 5 Pro with Industry-First 1-Inch Sensor in a Mini Drone September 17, 2025 – DJI has unveiled the Mini 5 Pro, the world’s first mini drone with a 1-inch 50MP sensor, designed to deliver pro-level imaging in a compact, near-250g form. The upgraded drone offers up to 36 minutes of flight time, enhanced low-light performance, and new creative modes for both casual and professional users.

The Mini 5 Pro supports 4K/60fps HDR video, 10-bit color, and 4K/120fps slow motion, with dynamic range up to 14 stops. Its Med-Tele mode provides enhanced subject detail, while portrait optimization technology ensures natural, vivid portraits. For flexibility, the gimbal allows 225 roll rotation and True Vertical Shooting, optimized for social media content without cropping.

Safety and reliability are reinforced with omnidirectional obstacle sensing, forward-facing LiDAR, and advanced Return to Home functions, including nightscape and non-GNSS modes for urban or satellite-restricted environments. The upgraded ActiveTrack 360° improves subject tracking in sports and dynamic scenes.

Convenience features include QuickTransfer at up to 100 MB/s, MasterShots, QuickShots, and panoramic shooting. DJI Care Refresh plans offer protection against accidents and flyaways.
