Samsung has introduced the Galaxy Z TriFold which brings a multi folding layout that opens into a 10 inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display. The device uses an inward folding structure supported by a dual rail hinge system along with titanium hinge housing and an armor aluminum frame. The back has a ceramic glass fiber reinforced polymer panel to keep the design thin while improving durability. The cover screen measures 6.5 inches and also uses a Dynamic AMOLED 2X panel.
The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Mobile Platform for Galaxy paired with 16 GB RAM. It is available in 512 GB and 1 TB storage options. The rear camera setup includes a 200 MP wide camera a 12 MP ultra wide camera and a 10 MP telephoto camera. The cover screen and main screen each have a 10 MP front camera. Power comes from a 5600 mAh three cell battery that supports 45 W wired charging along with fast wireless charging and Wireless PowerShare.
Other specifications include IP48 water resistance Wi Fi 7 Bluetooth 5.4 and support for up to two physical SIM cards with multi eSIM. The device weighs 309 g and measures 3.9 mm at its thinnest point when unfolded. It runs Android 16 with One UI 8. Standalone Samsung DeX lets users set up a desktop style environment directly from the device and the large screen layout supports multitasking with up to three apps at once. Galaxy AI features add tools for editing browsing and real time contextual help through Gemini Live. The Galaxy Z TriFold will reach select markets and comes with a Google AI Pro trial and a one time display repair benefit.
