Position: Audio System Quality Engineer

Apple is hiring an Audio System Quality Engineer to work on advanced audio products such as AirPods AirPods Pro and AirPods Max. This role focuses on ensuring high-quality audio experiences through strong firmware and system-level validation.
What the role involves:
- Driving firmware and system quality through structured and exploratory testing
- Verifying key audio and connectivity features across hardware and software
- Identifying reproducing and isolating bugs in embedded systems
- Analyzing field issues and improving test coverage gaps
- Working closely with firmware software and hardware teams
- Defining quality focus areas and tracking performance metrics
- Presenting quality insights and progress to senior stakeholders
Ideal profile:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering with 5+ years of QA experience
- Hands-on experience with firmware testing and embedded systems
- Strong understanding of QA fundamentals and defect lifecycle
- Experience across at least two consumer electronics product cycles preferred
- Knowledge of Bluetooth protocols and or audio DSP is a plus
- Ability to script or program in Python C++ or similar languages
- Strong analytical skills and cross-functional collaboration ability
