Bosch has expanded its workshop equipment portfolio with the launch of the BIT 1000 high-voltage battery insulation tester. Announced in Plochingen Germany the new device is designed to support maintenance and repair of electric and hybrid vehicles and replaces the earlier FSA 050 model.
The BIT 1000 is built for diagnosing high-voltage systems up to 1000 volts with a strong focus on safety and accuracy. It supports insulation testing at multiple voltages and automatically discharges capacitor voltage after measurements to reduce the risk of electric shock. This helps workshops carry out safe and reliable checks on high-voltage components.
The device combines several functions in one unit. Along with insulation testing it includes full multimeter capabilities and an integrated infrared thermal imaging camera. This allows technicians to measure voltage resistance frequency and surface temperatures without direct contact helping identify issues such as heat buildup or insulation degradation.
For daily workshop use the BIT 1000 features a 3.5 inch color display simple controls and Bluetooth connectivity for wireless data transfer and documentation. Its durable design and dedicated test cables are intended for demanding workshop environments and consistent long term use.
