Hyundai TVS Electric Three Wheeler Partnership Targets Last-Mile Mobility

Hyundai Motor Company and TVS Motor Company have signed a Joint Development Agreement to co-develop and commercialize electric three-wheelers for India and other markets.

The partnership focuses on creating solutions tailored to India’s last-mile mobility needs, combining Hyundai’s design and engineering capabilities with TVS Motor’s expertise in electric three-wheelers and local market insights.

Hyundai will lead product design and co-development, while TVS Motor will handle manufacturing and sales in India. The vehicles will be built on a localized supply chain to reduce costs, support faster service, and strengthen the domestic ecosystem.

The upcoming electric three-wheeler will include features suited to Indian conditions such as adaptive ground clearance, enhanced safety, ergonomic design, and flexible configurations for passenger and cargo use.

The agreement marks a shift from concept to production, with both companies working toward scalable and sustainable mobility solutions.
