Capgemini is hiring a Components Engineer to manage component selection qualification and lifecycle. The role focuses on component reliability risk mitigation and supporting engineering changes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Identify and qualify electrical electronic and electromechanical components
- Suggest alternate components using form fit function analysis
- Maintain component library and ensure data accuracy
- Perform component comparison and evaluation
- Support BOM management and engineering changes
- Collaborate with engineering manufacturing quality and SCM teams
- Interpret schematics and support PCB development
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering
- 3 to 6 years of experience in component engineering
- Experience with BOM tools like Silicon Expert or IHS
- Knowledge of PLM systems and component databases
- Strong understanding of PCBA components and datasheets
Preferred Skills:
- Knowledge of standards like UL CE IPC
- Experience in manufacturing or product development
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills
