LG Innotek Automotive WiFi 7 Module Expands In-Car Connectivity
LG Innotek has secured an order worth about $68 million to supply its automotive Wi-Fi 7 communication module to a European automotive parts company, with mass production set to begin in 2027.
The module will be integrated into audio, video, and navigation systems for global OEM vehicles. It supports ultra-wide 320MHz bandwidth and delivers data speeds up to three times faster than previous Wi-Fi 6E solutions.
The system uses MIMO technology with dual antennas to reduce signal loss and ensure stable connectivity across multiple devices within a vehicle. It also incorporates over 150 components, including a Qualcomm communication chip, in a compact form factor.
Designed for automotive environments, the module can operate across extreme temperatures and maintain performance under varying conditions.
LG Innotek plans to expand its use across additional systems such as rear-seat entertainment and telematics, strengthening its position in automotive connectivity solutions.
