Manfred Harrer promoted to President and Head of R&D Division at Hyundai Motor Group

Manfred Harrer has been promoted to President and Head of the R&D Division at Hyundai Motor Group from January 1, 2026. In this role he will focus on strengthening software defined vehicle development through closer collaboration across software and related teams. His work will support next generation vehicle programs and help advance the group’s technology capabilities.

He joined Hyundai Motor Group in 2024 and has been serving as Executive Vice President of Vehicle Development. During this time he has worked on improving core vehicle performance and contributed to shaping the technology direction for Hyundai Motor and Kia. His technical background and recent leadership experience support his expanded responsibilities.
