Hyundai Motor appoints Don Romano as CEO of Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters

Hyundai Motor Company has appointed Don Romano as President and Chief Executive Officer of its Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters. In this role he will lead the region while continuing as CEO and President of Hyundai Australia. He will oversee both Hyundai and Genesis brands and will split his time between Sydney and Jakarta.

Don Romano brings four decades of experience in the automotive industry. Before moving to Australia he served as President and CEO of Hyundai Auto Canada for ten years where the company delivered record sales and profit growth. Since taking charge in Australia Hyundai and Genesis have both posted strong year on year growth and Genesis has expanded its retail presence through new showcases and partnerships.

Asia Pacific is a key region for Hyundai Motor covering 32 countries with manufacturing operations in Indonesia Vietnam and Singapore. Romano’s appointment supports Hyundai’s focus on growth and brand development across this diverse market.
